Sashastra Seema Bal, Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India has invited applications for the 181 posts of Sub-Inspector (Staff Nurse Female), Assistant Sub-Inspector (Pharmacist), Assistant Sub-Inspector (Operation Theatre Technician), Assistant Sub-Inspector (Dental Technician), Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) (Radiographer), Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) (Stenographer) & Head Constable (Ministerial) Posts. Thousands of candidates have applied for these posts from 11/08/2018 to 09/09/2018.

SSB HC ASI SI Exam Syllabus 2019

Selection Procedure: The selection of candidates on these SSB Communication posts will be done on these following below steps:

  1. Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
  2. Physical Standard Test (PST)
  3. Documentation
  4. Written Examination
  5. Medical Examination

SSB HC, ASI & SI PET/ PST Exam Date: From January 2019

PET (Physical Efficiency Test):

All the applied candidates will be called for the PET Test, This test will be qualifying in nature. The following below tasks will be performed under the Physical Efficiency Test:

  • 3.2 km Race in 14 minutes (Male)
  • 1.6 Km Race in 08.30 Minutes (Female)

PST (Physical Standard Test)

The Candidates who qualify the Physical Efficiency Test will be called for the next round of Physical Standard Test. Ex-servicemen are exempted from PST.

For SI (Staff Nurse Female):-

SSB HC, ASI & SI (Paramedical) Written Exam Syllabus 2019

Paper-I

General Knowledge: History, Geography and Socio-Economic development of India. Knowledge of current events of National and International importance and such matters of everyday observation and experience in their scientific aspects as may be expected of an educated person who has not made a special study of any scientific subject. Paper will also include questions on Modern History (From 1857 onwards) of India, Indian culture, Indian Polity, Indian Economy, Geography of India.

Numerical Ability: The test of Arithmetical and Numerical abilities will cover Number Systems including questions on Simplification, Decimals, Fractions, L.C.M., H.C.F., Ratio & Proportion, Percentage, Average, Profit & Loss, Discount, Simple & Compound Interest, Mensuration, Time & Work, Time & Distance, Tables & Graphs, etc.

General English & Hindi: Candidates’ ability to understand correct English, his basic comprehension and writing ability, etc. would be tested. Questions will be asked from error recognition, fill in the blanks (using verbs, preposition, articles etc), Vocabulary, Spellings, Grammar, Sentence Structure, Synonyms, Antonyms, Sentence Completion, Phrases and Idiomatic use of Words, etc.

General Reasoning: It will include the question of both verbal and non-verbal type. The question will be asked from analogies, similarities and differences, problem-solving, relationship, arithmetical computation and other analytical functions, Venn diagrams, relationship concepts and Ability to observe and distinguish patterns etc.

Paper-II (Descriptive Nature)

The Questions in this paper designed to test the core competency of the candidates in his technical subject.

Exam Pattern:

  • The PET/PST qualify candidates will be called for the SSB Written Exam 2019.
  • The Written Exam will be Objective Type with Multiple Choice Questions.
  • The exam will have two papers, Paper 1 and Paper 2.
  • The time duration for each paper will be 02:00 Hours.

Skill Test:

The Candidates who qualify Paper – I & Paper – II will be called for Skill test as per post nature. The Skill test will be qualifying in nature.
